Racial Radicals

September 17, 2007 By: darylim Category: daily dosage, thoughts, writings 3 Comments →

Some happenings for the interesting day.

Was on the bus journey back home, i saw this young Malaysian mother with her toddler. The toddler was mischievous to the ultimate, he climbed on seats, press bells umpteen times and hitting other passengers on the bus.

His mum had quite a trouble controlling him. She then made a snick remark loudly,

“ni zhai chao wo jiu jiaoah bu neh neh lai zhuo ni!”

Sad to say, she was sitting very close to the driver, which was unfortunately an Indian. What made it worst was that there was another Indian man sitting at the opposite seat.Jokingly, when she said that sentence, she was pointing her finger to that Indian Man.

Furthermore, throughout the whole journey, she repeated the sentence with her hand actions several times. I guess that Indian man must be wondering…

What has that got to do with me?? I’m innocent.

These are probably the social perception that the laid back perceive, which is now still carried on in our society. I vividly remembered that when i was young, my aunties, grandmother and had threatened me with the same sentence.I wonder, what did the Indians do in the past to make our ancestors have such kind of mindset, and mind that we shouldn’t let such kind of thinking set ablaze the stable racial harmonious society we have in Singapore.

Birthday Bashed.

Finally i brought my new Asics Gel-2120, which cost me 144bucks to Bishan Park for some test run. Haven’t been able to do that since the weather recently had been rather bad. I would say that the support and cushioning was pretty awesome.

Completed my first 3.3km in 17mins, but the subsequent rounds of timing wasn’t that fantastic, still able to complete 10K in 1 hour which was still alright i guess.

There’s the Run For Hope for cancer research(formerly known as Terry Fox Run) this Sunday at Sentosa.

Do sign up and soon. Registration is available here. If you are going, please drop me a call. I’ll be there for the 8K run. Hope to see you there.

As promised earlier in my posts, i mentioned that i have a different take about the whole event about birthdays itself. Let me elaborate more.

Since young, its not a very tradition thing to do in my family to celebrate birthdays, to us it probably is just another day of your life. Hence, i have grown to take a different perception about birthdays altogether.

Kids shouldn’t pester their parents so much about getting birthday presents, well if you think of it, it should be the day one should feel most grateful to their parents.

What should we be grateful for?

  • The pains that mummy have suffered for 9-10 months with me in her foetus. Not to mention the knocks and frequent kicks.
  • The actual labour process itself, which was deemed as the highest threshold of pain human could ever endure.
  • The part and parcel of growing up, care and concern, the anger, the disappointment, the stress.

Though young kids might be too young to understand this, hopefully they will when they grow up that birthday is not all about gifts and parties. Its the time to think of the years your parents had brought you into this year, nurturing and providing. The period for thanksgiving and appreciation.

Hence the very thing that i told my mum was:

“Thanks for taking care me for the the past 18 years.”

This was especially meaningful when this is my 18th Birthday where its the legal age for much stuffs. 18 years is a long period, and i am grateful for that.-

Alright, now acknowledge for people who have wished me happy birthday. To you guys, i want to say a BIG thank you for remembering and making an effort even if it was just a simple text message. It certainly made my day brighter.

In order of appearance

Tiffany, Jiahao, Yu Qing, Xue Li, Shirley, Shahirah, Dickson, Yong De, Siew Cheng, Melissa Kong, Tommy, Gloria, Jessic, Daowei, Esther, Lizi, Mabel, Henrietta, Lee San, Beatrice, Wai Sze, Sharon, Jancy, Linda, Usha, James, Cheng Song, Elaine and Lester

Special mention to…

Tiffany- for remembering it as 9Sept, hence being the first, though its unofficial.Jiahao, Yuqing, Xueli- for making it right at the spot on 12am.

Tommy- for publicizing it on his blogg as well.

Jessic- for purposely waiting for the time 10:09<— 10/09 to send me the message, much effort. thanks! Esther, Lizi, Mabel, Beatrice- for the friendster comment

Wai Sze- for demanding a present from me on my Birthday.

Henrietta- though we haven’t talked for ages, other than the coincidence meeting in YCK Stadium

Linda- for the doughnuts from Munchy’s, i bet they cost you half an hour at least.

Usha- for sharing the same birthday as me. FYI, she’s my primary school form teacher.

Lester- for making it the last position

Also, happy birthday to Hanming and Chew ling, whom happen to share the same DOB as me, don’t if its a blessing for you or not?

These are the doughnuts from Munchy’s, don’t they look sinful. Guess its gonna be 3km for each of them.

Finally, the once in a year event has ended. Well, its just another 365 days before it comes all over again. Before that, please be reminded that i am of legal age of alcohol and M18 shows. So please do not leave me out of these treats. :D

Till then,
happy belated birthday to myself.
(its 12:28am 11Sept now)

Opps… its the 6th anniversary of the 911 attack.

World Peace.

McDonalds.

September 09, 2007 By: darylim Category: writings 1 Comment →

The hundred post this shall be. For the running of the blog for almost 3 years.

Recently, i stumbled upon this wonderful video which i had known about but didn’t have the chance to really view it.

SUPER-SIZE ME

Super Size Me is an Academy Award-nominated 2004 documentary film, directed by and starring Morgan Spurlock, an American independent filmmaker. It follows a 30-day time period (February 2003) during which Spurlock subsists exclusively on McDonald’s fast food and stops exercising regularly. The film documents this lifestyle’s drastic effects on Spurlock’s physical and psychological well-being and explores the fast food industry’s corporate influence, including how it encourages poor nutrition for its own profit. During the filming, Spurlock dined at McDonald’s restaurants three times per day, sampling every item on the chain’s menu at least once. He consumed an average of 5,000 calories (the equivalent of 9.26 Big Macs) per day during the experiment.-
S

eriously, i think this film has drastically changed my perception about MacDonald’s food. The nutritional level of such food are close to null. I think you guys should really watch this film. It doesn’t matter if you are a big fan of McDonald’s or just a frequent visitor.Nutritionist have commented that one should never eat such food unless its in the time of a war, to the extent that there is absolutely no food available for survival. However, for the past few days, I’ve been visiting McDonald’s. Not for the food, but for the space there to study. No matter how hard it is for us to boycott McDonald’s, is somewhat a difficult task to do it.

  1. Its the only fast food restaurant that opens 24hrs, for overnight muggers to camp in.
  2. It ALL OVER THE island.
  3. It’s easy identifiable as meeting place.

I was studying at one of them just now, i saw this China Dad, forcing his young child, around 4 years old, a McChicken. I took almost an hour and a half for that kid to finish the whole burger. It must have took him great pain to complete that difficult task.

Why does he want to choose to dine at McDonald’s albeit the fact that there is a proper food centre just beside it. Be it cost or nutritional, it would definitely be wise to choose the latter.

The fact that they actually place such a notice, it shows that the the influx of customers coming to McDonald’s is high, so high that students can’t study there. But the fact is no one actually cares about such notices, though i try real hard not to buy anything from there. If the circumstance do not really allow, a cup of green tea will do the job.

Nutritional Fact

Its funny how McDonald try to promote its food to increase the confidence of health conscious customers by placing nutritional facts about their food. Its funny that they only put the fact of the small size Coke drink on the nutritional fact sheet.

How quality fast food can be, when most of them were frozen food. They made it sound as if their food were really healthy. Balance diet? Active lifestyle?

The average calories a person take daily is 2000kcal. One normal Big Mac meal would cost about 1150 kcal, which is more than half that of the daily intake. So, imagine a McDonald meal 3 times a day.

“Awesome”

I would not be surprise if McDonald press some charges for this. But it is important that i make this clear to my friends around me the harm that such food would bring.

The video above shows how McDonald food decompose over time. You will see how the fries that they produce break down over time.

FYI, the faster the food break down, the easier will it for food to be digested. Just take a look, in case you thought that McDonald fries are similar to other substitutes.

Hence, avoid these food at all costs. It will benefit your own health and your pocket. Make the wise choice.

National Day Controversy

August 05, 2007 By: darylim Category: writings No Comments →

I love weekends, no qualms about it. Weekends give me the time to do all the things that i want to do. To read, swim, jog, do work, and most importantly… Rest!

Recently, i got hooked up with Harry Potter books. I started with the Philosopher’s stone a few days ago. The main reason that i dislike the movies is because i haven’t been into it and i won’t be really understand what it is truly about.

One bad thing about those movies made out of JK Rowling’s works are that they restrict your flow of imagination. Its just like fixing your brain to this particular scene and character u see in the movie. Without the movie, you version of Harry would definitely not be like what it is in the movie; Daniel Radcliffe.

Though the director does it in a way that try to go with accordance with the descriptions in the book, there are bound to be flaws and misinterpretations, or here and there. So, read the book, then watch the movie.

-

Its Singapore’s National Day in about 3 days time. Which means.. Holidays are coming :D

As you know, its part of the tradition that we Singaporeans hang our national flag outside our balcony during the period of National Day. Is that really a scene of patriotism, or is it only just for show?

Why the argument about placing the flags for a longer period of time, let’s say till September or October. People will start to point finger about you not keeping the flag when “National Day Period” is over.

In the States and Australia, families place their national flag out in their yard everyday. The sense of nationalism that one can feel from them is definitely different from what it is in Singapore.

So in the nutshell, are we really people that don’t feel towards our nation?

In my point of view, i think that to a certain extent we do feel for our country. We all know that the 42 years of independence was no easy feat. However, the kind of society that Singapore posses has mould us into people who think for ourselves first before anything. If we don’t do that, we can never fight for survival in such a competitive society.

Hence, we have made our first priority as making money and making sure that we can be successful in life. I can’t be sure that this applies to everyone, but it certainly is for the majorities.

We can’t complain much, for this is the path that we have chosen. Blame it on fate if you do feel really helpless about it.

Meanwhile, endure the 2 more days before its a long holiday again..

Some of the music videos of this year National Day theme song. Enjoy!

My Father

July 30, 2007 By: darylim Category: poems, writings No Comments →

Today was a great day, or should i say yesterday. Ok, i meant Monday.

The feeling of completing all assignments and due-d work is indeed satisfactory. Though this feeling can’t really last me long, because its a whole new day again the next day. Workloads just keeps on piling and we’ve just got to keep working and working and working.

I’ve finally completed my Geography Essays, which was like.. i can’t really remember how many i wrote. Probably 62 billion.

Sleep less, work more. That’s the quote and principle to follow.

Thats the reason why i’m suffering from the out surge of liquid from my nose now. Its terrible.

Alright enough about myself, as seen in my entry title, i’m going to dedicate this entry to my father.
-

My father, is a unique man. Unlike others, who’s father has a occupation of 9 to 5, mine don’t. My dad’s office is the ship. His office is located at the vast great ocean. Half the time of the year, i don’t really get to see him. It’s been like that since i was young, nothing special about that. When others raves about having their dads who went on work trips for days and weeks.

I’d smile and tell them that mine go for months.

Well, you might think that i would have a rather cold relationship with him, but the fact is not. It’s just that the feeling of life having a dad by the phone receiver have been numbed over the years. I know that he still cares, i know that he’s still concern. Otherwise i’ll be even nullified from a phone call.I’m definitely still grateful for what he has done. Its his job and occupation. He’s bringing back the bacon, so that me and my family can enjoy good life. We can’t blame him for that. Though the distance, i could sense that the care and concern is still there.

There has been this intriguing incident that happened eons ago that has resurfaced in my mind.

When i was in primary one, my teacher organised a class excursion trip to the Zoo. They were looking for Parent Volunteer to accompany my class to the Zoo, in my dismay, my dad agreed to be one. It so happened that during the period of time he was available in Singapore.

Initially, i was quite disappointed about it. I mean, it’s supposed to be a class excursion. I want to be wild and be the mischievous daryl that i’ve always been. With him around, my actions would definitely be restrained. Not to also mention that he can talk to my teachers about my work and behavior in class. Shucks, it was such a terrible feeling!

However, when the day came, i realized that it was totally different from what i’ve thought.

I was so glad that he had went on the trip.
On the material side, i got to purchase a book/magazine about the zoo. I think only a few of my classmates managed to get it.

The Reason: It cost 5 bucks.

It’s primary one, where students carried 50cents a day to school. 5 whole dollars then was a great deal. Not to mention those really Richie rich ones.

On the not so material side. It’s probably the first time that i could feel the kind of care that he extends to me. Not saying that he had showered none in the first 5 years of my life, probably i was then too young to understand. But its just the feeling which till now i’ll not forget.

I appreciate him for what he has done for me, for my family. Which i don’t think i could ever repay in this lifetime. The only thing i could do now is to study hard and well and not fail his expectations.

The man full of righteous,
also not null of humorous.
This great man indeed,
is my father i admit.

Working in the vast seas for months.
Returning, he enjoys the fun with us.
However the concern he showers,
never ceases.

For the hairs that grayed,
the body that have aged.
I know the love for us never fades.

STOP Smoking Around!

July 23, 2007 By: darylim Category: writings No Comments →

I just had my experience with a smoker at the bus stop and at the void deck, which made me come to a point to write this entry about those smokers that are smoking around our environment.
-

Sometimes, i really wonder why people smoke..

*In my post below, cigratte will be named as the “death stick”. You know why.

Some people smoke for the kick of it, the kind of “glam” that they get out of smoking.

Seriously, stop decieving yourself. No one ever looks cool or glamourous with that death stick in your mouth. It totally looks uncouth. People who praise you with that death stick in your mouth aren’t really friends. They are mere trying to boost your ego into getting you to smoke, which makes you look like a fool whereby it will lead you to the path of destruction.

Some people smoke to destress themselves.

Well, i certainly know of some chaps around that give the excuse of smoking because they feel stress and the the death stick can give them temporal happiness and make them feel high.

People, look long term. The temporal happiness that you are engaging on will cause permanent harm to your own body. Furthermore, there are like a Thousand and One ways in the world to destress yourselves. Like sports, which will benefit both your mind and your body. So why choose smoking?

Some people smoke due to addiction.

In the above two reasons, over hauling with that death stick in your mouth will eventually lead to addiction. According to a research, there are about 600 different types of addictive content in the death stick. These 600 types of content are before the burning of it, when ignited with flame, the 600 will evolve into 4000 different chemical types.

-

Scenario 1

There are many instances whereby i really dread staying close to smokers. This is especially in the lift. When the no smoking sign seems to look so prevailing in front of the panel of the lift, the smoker still continues to huff and puff his death stick away like no tomorrow.

This is exceptionally annoying as the smoke that is produced fills the whole lift and makes it difficult for the other passengers inside to even gasp a proper breather. I never enter life with smokers, or lifts with smoke still heavily lingering inside. Never! Take the stairs, breathe in fresh air!

Scenario 2

Also, early in the morning. When the air is fresh and the breeze is cool. It really spoils your mood when you sniff a tinge of smoke around you. This is especially so when waiting for bus to school early in the morning.

Although the government has placed a ban on smoking in bus stops. These persistent smokers still continue to smoke just a doorstep away from the bus stop. So whats the big deal about not smoking in bus stops. Air still diffuses. Hence, i always stay away from these bus stops early in the morning, just near enough for me to spot my bus that is approaching.

Scenario 3

Sometimes at home, i can easily sense these smokers approaching. Due to my sensitive nose, i could easily detect these people around. Its irritating to be doing work half way and smell these pollutants from a distance, either at the corridoor or from the window. There is one particular yalam that i have to mention without fail at night where such will happen.

I could say that the people around me don;’t really engage in this activity except for my grandfather and my uncle, which i show dismissal when they put that death stick in their mouth.

Recently, i got to know of a few Primary and Seconday school friends that are already engage in this huff puff activity. The impression that appears in my mind would be a real bad one. Though they might be my friends, now or then. The huff puff activity that they are engaged in would make me want to keep a big distant away from them.

To all smokers: Before you light another death stick of yours. Please think. Think of yourself.

  • Do you really want to huff and puff your life through,
  • Do you want to suffer the later part of your life while people are enjoying theirs
  • Do you want to be a nuisance to the people around you.

Furthermore, the huff puff activity does not only involves yourself. It will be alright if you lock yourself in the room and puff your way till death parts you.

But remember, there are people around you. People whom care for you, love you. Think.

  • Do you care for these people around you.
  • Do you know that Second Hand Smoke can lead to Lung Cancer.
  • Think about your family your parents, why harm them why they have brought you up. Is this the gratitude that you are repaying them.
  • STOP BEING SO SELFISH AND SELF-CENTERED!!!

Conclusion: You and I know it deep in our heart, it all depends on you, yourself whether you choose to solve the problem or to let it continue as it is.

Disclaimer: This blog is smoke-free. If you want to smoke around, please go somewhere else!

Fly Me Away (Caution: Super Long Post) NEW 7 Wonders

July 08, 2007 By: darylim Category: poems, reviews, writings 1 Comment →

Take me on a jet plane,
allow me to fly high.
Across the seas, into the clouds,
where my fuel will never run out.

Take me on a jet plane,
permit me to soar free.
To transcend the boundaries,
over the mountains and beyond the lakes,
for me to meet the seven wonders i can’t wait.

Yours truly, darylim
-
This sounds kind of cheesy and weird i know, but I made it up in 10mins, pardon the inappropriate usage of words.

The point was just to express my want for travel.

Hmm, let me bring you around the world in this post. To the NEW 7 wonders of the world.
What’s this all about?NEW 7 of Wonders?

(extracts from wikipedia) The New Seven Wonders of the World is a proposed alternative to the Seven Wonders of the World, organized by a Swiss corporation called New Open World Corporation (NOWC). The final list was announced on July 7, 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal, in the Estdio da Luz, SL Benfica’s stadium at 9:30pm.

Feasts for the eyes for an onscreen tour of these NEW 7 Wonders. The order of appearance of the wonders does not indicates it’s rank. Its all equal.

The Machu Picchu of Peru, which has attributes of Community and Dedication.

Machu Picchu was constructed around AD1450, at the height of the Inca empire, and was abandoned less than 100 years later, as the empire collapsed under Spanish conquest. Although the citadel is located only about 50 miles from Cusco, the Inca capital, it was never found and destroyed by the Spanish, as were many other Inca sites.

Over the centuries, the surrounding jungle grew to enshroud the site, and few knew of its existence. In 1911, Yale historian and explorer Hiram Bingham brought the lost city to the worlds attention.

Bingham and others hypothesized that the citadel was the traditional birthplace of the Inca people or the spiritual center of the virgins of the sun, while curators of a recent exhibit have speculated that Machu Picchu was a royal retreat.

Haha, okay i admit. This is the only one that i’ve really been to. Probably in Primary 5. The climb was tiring and scary. Mainly due to the constructions of the steps which many are narrow and steep. I merely climbed a few segments and stopped. =P

Some facts,

The Great wall of China, ??; is a series of stone and earthen fortifications in China, built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire during the rule of successive dynasties.

Several walls, referred to as the Great Wall of China, were built since the 5th century BC, the most famous being the one built between 220 BC and 200 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. That wall was much further north than the current wall, built during the Ming Dynasty, and little of it remains.

The Great Wall is the world’s longest human-made structure, stretching over approximately 6,400 km from Shanhai Pass in the east to Lop Nur in the west, along an arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. It is also the largest human-made structure ever built in terms of surface area and mass.

Don’t be mistaken, though it takes the shape of a Pyramid, it not one.

Chichen Itza is a large pre-Columbian archaeological site built by the Maya civilization located in the northern center of the Yucatn Peninsula, present-day Mexico.

Chichen Itza was a major regional center in the northern Maya lowlands from the Late Classic through the Terminal Classic and into the early portion of the Early Postclassic period. The site exhibits a multitude of architectural styles, from what is called Mexicanized and reminiscent of styles seen in central Mexico to the Puuc style found among the Puuc Maya of the northern lowlands.

The presence of central Mexican styles was once thought to have been representative of direct migration or even conquest from central Mexico, but most contemporary interpretations view the presence of these non-Maya styles more as the result of cultural diffusion.

Rome, Italy, which has the attributes of Joy and Suffering.

The Night View of the Colosseum

The Colosseum is a giant amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Originally capable of seating around 50,000 spectators, it was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. It was built on a site just east of the Roman Forum, with construction starting between 70 and 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian. The amphitheatre, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire, was completed in 80 AD under Titus.

The Colosseum remained in use for nearly 500 years with the last recorded games being held there as late as the 6th century well after the traditional date of the fall of Rome in 476. As well as the traditional gladiatorial games, many other public spectacles were held there, such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology. The building eventually ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such varied purposes as housing, workshops, quarters for a religious order, a fortress, a quarry and a Christian shrine.

Although it is now in a severely ruined condition due to damage caused by earthquakes and stone-robbers, the Colosseum has long been seen as an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and is one of the finest surviving examples of Roman architecture.

Taj Mahal
of India, which has the attributes of Love and Passion.

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra, India. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned it as a mausoleum for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Construction began in 1632 and was completed in approximately 1648. Some dispute surrounds the question of who designed the Taj Mahal; it is clear a team of designers and craftsmen were responsible for the design, with Ustad Ahmad Lahauri considered the most likely candidate as the principal designer.

The Taj is generally considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements of Persian, Turkish, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. While the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar part of the monument, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 when it was described as a “universally admired masterpiece of the world’s heritage.

Nope. Its not the Eighth wonder. It’s the Honorary Candidate of the NEW 7 Wonders.
Its none other than….

The Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, which has the attributes of Immortality and Eternity.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and the largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now Cairo, Egypt in Africa. The oldest and only remaining member of the Seven Wonders of the World, it is believed to have been constructed over a 20 year period concluding around 2560 BC. Great Pyramid of Giza was the world’s tallest building from 2570 BC to 1300 AD. The Great Pyramid was built as a tomb for Fourth dynasty Egyptian pharaoh and is sometimes called Khufu’s Pyramid or the Pyramid of Khufu.

Look at the size of the blocks, one block itself is taller than the height of a human.

Just imagine, how great and magnificent is the whole structure.

Thank you for traveling with darylim.blogspot Airlines, hope you enjoyed the journey.
Please do not leave your belongings behind and remember your passports.

Haha, enough of such. Back to my rantings. Congratulations to these structures to be awarded the NEW 7 of Wonders. Though getting the award means that these states and country will be getting more revenue from their tourist industry, it would also on the other hand create more friction between man and the structure, which might lead it to being damaged. Hence, preservation is very important.

These wonders are all selected through votes from the public. Hence it doesn’t mean that the other structure are less magnificent. I believe that every individual structure has its own meaning and definition behind it.

These pictures are from the internet and the infomation are mostly from Wikipedia edited by me. Well, certainly one day i would wish to visit these places and witness it with my own eyes.

Preserve these structures, conserve the environment.

Childhood

July 04, 2007 By: darylim Category: thoughts, writings No Comments →

The moment here marks the end of one torture and soon the start of the other.
Alright, its the end of my papers for Midyears, i have full four days to take a breather before the next journey starts for me to the reaching milestone.

Today, I shall blog about the controversy of childhood.

As parents, it is all their wish and dream for their child to grow up to become good and useful people in the society.

But are these happening at the expense of the childhood memories of the kid?

In order for a child to be able to do well in life, parents tend to send their child to many different crash courses to help nurture their talent from within. Where such courses will vary from, piano lessons, ballet lessons, language lessons etc. The list just continues. There are just so many things that a parent would want their child to excel in.

Parents would also love to send their child for endless tuitions so that they will be able to have good grades in school.

However, as a child. Young and innocent he is, how would he be able to apprehend and understand the fact that these are beneficial for him. We’ve got to look things at the child’s perspective. To him, these amount of work are just like barbed wires that strips and puts a boundary to his freedom.

As children, what they would perceive fun as, would be to play and not have any worries for studies and work. Hence, they would only understand the whole situation when they grow and mature. But the bad memories of childhood will be embedded in their minds forever.

On another stand, if the parent chose to give way and let their child play through his young days. The child will have a wonderful childhood, but might not be able to excel well in life.

Hence the controversy of should, or should not parents tax their child with heavy workload and stress in their childhood years. Think about it yourself.

Here i present you one of the fabulous works by Michael Jackson, Childhood. The lyrics are a meaningful bunch. Enjoy!

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for the world that I come from
‘Cause I’ve been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart…
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities…
‘Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me…

People say I’m not okay
‘Cause I love such elementary things…
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I’ve never known…

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne…

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I’m strange that way
‘Cause I love such elementary things,
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood I’ve never known…

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly…

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I’ve had

Have you seen my Childhood….
