Healthy Lifestyle
One should never take good health for granted. Many a time, illness in old age are caused by the kind of life, eg diet, exercise, etc one goes through when they are young. Hence, in order not to jerpodise our future by putting all kinds of toxin in our body, we ought to have certain guidelines in the way we eat and do things.
Remember, when we take care of our own body, its not something that you are doing just for yourself(though it’s something of much consideration), its also for our family, our friends. Just imagine the kind of stress and pressure you will act upon the people around you when you are critically ill or down with some disease.
Also, we owe our body to our parents. By not taking care of our body, we are doing them a unjust, disregarding their efforts in bringing us up.
In the recent months, i have fully experienced what it takes to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Some health tips to reconsider..(esp if you try to lose weight)
- Eat a balance diet
Though this might sound super cliche, but that is the fact. Follow the eating habits of the food pyramid and eat in moderation.Avoid junk food and snacking. Eat more fruits and vegetables.
- Exercise Regularly
Another usual saying. Try to make out time for them, no matter how busy you are. Even if it means walking a few streets away from your block, its still counted.
- Try to eat before 7PM
Research have shown that humans have lower metabolism rates in the night. Hence, we will be unable to burn the calories that we have taken. In the olden days, Chinese do not eat solid food during evening. Hence, resulting in fitter bodies and longer longevity despite poor healthcare.
- Drink more water, avoid soft drinks and juices from concentrate.
Water was found to aid in increase metabolism, it also help flush out the toxic in our body. Soft drinks and juices from concentrate have high sugar content, which will result in high sugar level, or even diabeties in time to come.
- No fast-food
If you have read my previous post about McDonalds, you will know what i mean.

Though it might be difficult to change the habits one one person, one still has got to try, slowly step by step. For the success of good health and the benefit of people around us.

Hello Daryl
I chanced upon your blog while googling for doughnuts in Singapore. And was intrigued enough to continue reading a few more of your posts. I wanted to tell you I’m impressed with the way your parents have brought you up, obviously with a lot of love and care and responsibility. For someone just turned 18, you do not appear to display the self-centred thoughtlessness exemplified by many of today’s Singaporean youths, but rather a wonderful sense of filial piety, awareness of world and social issues, motivation about your own health and education, appreciation of your friends, and much more. Kudos to your parents, and to you.

Hi Anonymous,
Thanks for your complement. Highly appreciate it. Yupp, i have to agree i have great parents and i adore their way and method of bringing me up though it was rather “bad” on a child’s point of view, until i have grown to understand their pain stinkingly effort to groom me into a fine man.
Hope u enjoyed the other posts and see you around.
