Birthday Bashed.
Finally i brought my new Asics Gel-2120, which cost me 144bucks to Bishan Park for some test run. Haven’t been able to do that since the weather recently had been rather bad. I would say that the support and cushioning was pretty awesome.
Completed my first 3.3km in 17mins, but the subsequent rounds of timing wasn’t that fantastic, still able to complete 10K in 1 hour which was still alright i guess.
There’s the Run For Hope for cancer research(formerly known as Terry Fox Run) this Sunday at Sentosa.
Do sign up and soon. Registration is available here. If you are going, please drop me a call. I’ll be there for the 8K run. Hope to see you there.

As promised earlier in my posts, i mentioned that i have a different take about the whole event about birthdays itself. Let me elaborate more.
Since young, its not a very tradition thing to do in my family to celebrate birthdays, to us it probably is just another day of your life. Hence, i have grown to take a different perception about birthdays altogether.
Kids shouldn’t pester their parents so much about getting birthday presents, well if you think of it, it should be the day one should feel most grateful to their parents.
What should we be grateful for?
- The pains that mummy have suffered for 9-10 months with me in her foetus. Not to mention the knocks and frequent kicks.
- The actual labour process itself, which was deemed as the highest threshold of pain human could ever endure.
- The part and parcel of growing up, care and concern, the anger, the disappointment, the stress.
Though young kids might be too young to understand this, hopefully they will when they grow up that birthday is not all about gifts and parties. Its the time to think of the years your parents had brought you into this year, nurturing and providing. The period for thanksgiving and appreciation.
Hence the very thing that i told my mum was:
“Thanks for taking care me for the the past 18 years.”
This was especially meaningful when this is my 18th Birthday where its the legal age for much stuffs. 18 years is a long period, and i am grateful for that.-
Alright, now acknowledge for people who have wished me happy birthday. To you guys, i want to say a BIG thank you for remembering and making an effort even if it was just a simple text message. It certainly made my day brighter.

[...] The few powerhouse for doughnuts in Singapore are Munchy’s Doughnuts and Doughnut Factory. I tried e-doughnuts and it doesn’t really taste that good, its too sweet. Munchy’s a good deal i thought after trying some bought by my cousin for birthday. (The picture is in the post of “Birthday Bashed” [...]
